Launch Today puts recent and upcoming rocket launches from around the world on one timeline of days: the past to the left, the future to the right. It's centred on today, with any launch that's live right now, replays of launches that already flew today, the launches still to come later today, and launch-pad cameras and space TV that stream around the clock.
Replays that start just before liftoff
Launch broadcasts often run an hour or more before liftoff. While you browse, Launch Today looks through the past week's launch videos on your own device. It reads the on-screen countdown clock to find the moment of liftoff or, when there's no clock, estimates it from the picture. In Launch Today's player, a replay with a known liftoff then starts 15 seconds before it, or a minute before if you'd like more of the countdown. When a video opens in YouTube instead, Launch Today asks YouTube to start there. Videos you've started in Launch Today's player resume where you left off on that device.
Live, from launch providers and the channels that cover them
Launch times and mission details come from a worldwide launch schedule. Video comes from SpaceX's broadcasts on X; from official and independent YouTube channels such as NASA, Blue Origin, JAXA, ISRO, Roscosmos, CGTN, Spaceflight Now, NASASpaceflight and Everyday Astronaut; and, for some Chinese launches, from news footage. Spaceflight Now's live feed and ESA Web TV are always on hand. A schedule alone never makes a launch live: Launch Today checks that its stream is actually playing.
Your devices share the work
With iCloud, when one of your devices finds a launch's liftoff, your other devices use that result instead of analysing the same video again. Clear results are also added to a shared public list (just the video, its length and the liftoff time, nothing about you), so other people's devices can check them instead of starting from scratch. Launch Today has no accounts, ads or tracking. Privacy.
